Rev. L. Elliott Abraham
Rev. L. Elliott Abraham is the third of 7 children born in Augusta, Ga. on December 20th, 1967 to the late Pastor Lewis Abraham III, and Margaret Mims Abraham. Rev. Abraham is a native of North Augusta South Carolina and was educated in the Aiken County School system where he graduated from North Augusta High School in 1986. Rev. Abraham is married to and madly in love with the former RoseMarie Roney whom he affectionately calls "Roney" because she is his Tender Roney. They are the proud parents of four children, Elliott, Jalen, Brianna, and Malik.
Rev. Abraham is an 8 year veteran of the United States Marine Corps and is very proud of the honor and discipline that was instilled in him while serving his country. While serving in the Corps, Rev. Abraham continued his education by enrolling in Campbell University. During his tenure in the USMC, Rev. Abraham also rediscovered his love of computers and technology which spurred a passion to innovate in technology and has led him to his current career as an Information Security Consultant.
Rev. Abraham, being the son of a powerful preacher in his late father had long felt a call to preach on his life. Rev. Abraham answered that powerful life changing call in 1997 while a member of Beulah Grove Baptist church under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Sam Davis. Shortly after accepting his call into the preached ministry, Rev. Abraham continued his education by enrolling in the Morehouse Interdenominational Theological Center or ITC. An avid student and bible reader, Rev. Abraham developed a great love for the Word of God and a passion for biblical interpretation. This passion for the Word truly comes through whenever Rev. Abraham stands and deliver the Word of God. Rev. Abraham furthered his Christian education at American Bible College upon leaving ITC.
Rev. Abraham and his family joined Salem in 2001 where he immediately continued his training in ministry. In December of 2003 Rev. Abraham preached his initial sermon and was licensed to preach the Gospel. Rev. Abraham was ordained in 2006 by Pastor Haynes along with 7 other brothers and sisters in the Gospel. Rev. Abraham was soon appointed by Pastor Haynes as Salem South Fellowship Cell Pastor along with Rev. Melvin Everson for the newly formed Fellowship Cell Ministry.
In 2009 Rev. Abraham's father suffered a major stroke and was unable to continue serving his flock. Answering a request for help from his father, Rev. Abraham began serving as interim Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church in Beldoc SC. Rev. Abraham continued to serve as interim Pastor until his sister, Pastor Pamela Richards joined him in ministry. Being a resident of SC already the mantle of ministry was soon passed on to Pastor Richards and Beulah called her as Pastor since Rev. Abraham was still residing in Lilburn Ga. and regularly traveling 7 hours roundtrip to minister.
An anointed and energetic Preacher, thought provoking teacher, and charismatic leader, Rev. Abraham is proud to serve as Salem South Fellowship Cell Pastor. Serving in this capacity, Rev. Abraham follows in the legacy of Christian service set forth by his parents before him, his great uncles, The Abraham Brothers of South Carolina, and his grandparents.
