Rev. Alvin R. Barnett & Rev. Sara Barnett

Rev. Alvin R. Barnett

Rev. Alvin R. Barnett is a native of Kansas City, MO. He was born to Al and Katherine Barnett. Rev. Barnett was saved at an early age at the Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church, under the Late Rev. A.L. Johnson, where he served with the Missions and Usher board, Jail and Evangelism team for several years.

Rev. Barnett served in the USAF for four years from 1968-1972.

Rev. A. Barnett attended, and Graduated from Manual High School also attended Rockhurst College majoring in Industrial Relations and Atlanta School of Biblical Studies in Atlanta Georgia.

Rev. A. Barnett answered the call into ministry in 1985 and has served as Associate Minister in several Church’s and was Pastor of the God’s Acre Missionary Baptist Church.

Rev. Barnett has been married for 37yrs to Rev. Mrs. Sara Barnett.

Rev. Sara W. Barnett

Rev. Sara Barnett is a native of Kansas City, Mo

As a child She attended the Blue Valley Baptist Church where She received Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior and at the age of 6 she was Baptized.

My Mother didn’t send her children to church, she took us to Sunday School, Worship Service, B.T.U and evening service.  Mrs. Rolene Wilson believed Sunday was the Lord’s Day and so we worship the Lord on Sunday.

Rev. Sara Barnett later joined and attended Zion Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. A. L. Johnson where she learned she had a calling on her life to be a Preacher of the Gospel but didn’t pursue it because Rev. Johnson didn’t believe in Women Preacher.

Rev. Sara Barnett was active in Junior Missions and Choir II.  She was President of the Junior Missions for (1) year. She also visited the sick as part of Junior Missions work and was active with the Jail ministry.

She met and married Rev. Alvin Barnett while both was on the Junior Missions team.  They have been Married 37yrs and have (2) children, (4) grand children’s and (4) great grandchildren.

She is a strong believer that believes in allowing the Holy Spirit to lead and guide her.  Her daily prayer is Lord use me as an instrument of your Love.
