Rev. Jermaine Evans

Rev. Dr. Jermaine Evans and Minister Alicia Evans have been married since 1997. They have three children – Aicila, Joshua and James. Since their union, they have both grown spiritually and accepted their calling into ministry.

Dr. Evans was raised in Hinesville, GA to Rev. James and Joan Evans. He attended church regularly and often traveled with his father to church events, participating in whatever way he was asked. His wife Alicia was born in Indianapolis, IN to Dea. Alex Spight and Lillie Spight. She too grew up in church and was involved in church activities like Youth & Children ministry and R.B. Bailey Choir.

Rev. Dr. Jermaine Evans has dual doctoral degrees in Theology and Christian Counseling. He was licensed to preach the gospel at Salem in 2003 and served as an Associate Minister of New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Lawrenceville, GA for nine years. Once ordained, he pastored Son Rise Church for three and a half years.

Minister Alicia Evans received a BS Ed in Middle Grades Education and began her teaching career. Years later, she obtained a M. Ed in School Counseling and additional coursework in religious education. She has used these degrees to aid in her work with Youth & Children’s Ministry as well as Christian Education.

Pastors Jermaine and Alicia have both strived to live their lives for God through serving the church and community. They have both sung in choirs, directed ministries, participated in food distribution, counseled all ages. They have also given to causes that help others in times of need. They desire for God to use them as vessels to empower people and encourage them to form a relationship with Christ.
